Description

DEPO-MEDROL is a sterile aqueous suspension that comes in a multidose vial of 5ml. Each ml contains 80 mg methylprednisolone acetate, and 9.16 mg of benzyl alcohol as a preservative. DEPO-MEDROL 80 mg/ml belongs to the class of corticosteroids, which are used to reduce inflammation and pain in various conditions. The active ingredient, methylprednisolone, is a potent anti-inflammatory agent that works by inhibiting the production of inflammatory mediators. It is indicated for the treatment of various conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and other inflammatory conditions.

The recommended dosage of DEPO-MEDROL depends on the condition being treated and the individual's response to the medication. It is typically administered once every 3-4 weeks, and the dosage may be adjusted based on the patient's response.
